One of my favorite trends right now in the lingerie industry are peephole bras. Sexy and seductive, peephole bras are wildly flirtatious and fun for the bedroom. While they are not as functional as they are fun, they do come in a variety of styles for us to choose from.

And the fun doesn’t stop there; if you don’t want to go completely bare, try adding some matching pasties to spice up the outfit. From sparkly to sweet, pasties are a gorgeous little accessory for any peephole bra.

Fraulein Kink: Luxury Boudoir Accessories

Luxury bondage inspired accessories have been around for awhile, but with the popularity of things like 50 Shades Of Grey they've become incredibly popular lately. Bondage themed outerwear has also been showing up on runways for awhile now, which makes these fashion handcuffs and blindfolds the perfect purchase at the moment. Fraulein Kink makes some of the stylish bondage gear and bondage inspired accessories on the market, and we're thrilled to be adding them to the shop this week.

Blindfolds and handcuffs can be a fun way to add some spice to your personal time, but they can sometimes be really intimidating to try out. Fraulein Kink makes gorgeous handcuffs that do double duty as luxury bracelets, so you gain a fun bedroom accessory and some gorgeous jewelry with one purchase.

The Florbelle and Justine Fringe Handcuffs have layered fringe, velvet ribbons, onyx heart charms, and a detachable chain. My favorite are the luxe Honor Me Handcuffs with diamond crystals and satin picot ribbons. I love the classic feather details on them as well, and can see them fitting in with a formal outfit perfectly as fashion accessories.

Fraulein Kink makes some incredible blindfolds as well, many of which are colorful and romantic. I'm a particular fan of the Romance Me blindfold with the red fringe and gold chains, as well as the simple white Marry Me Blindfold. The Marry Me Blindfold would pair perfectly with the Marry Me Handcuffs as a spicy honeymoon set.

Finally, we're also stocking some more accessories from the line like the Justine Fringe Belt. It matches with the rest of the Justine pieces as a bedroom set, but the fringe and patent leather detailing makes it a great piece to wear out as well.

The New Best Thing in Candles: Massage Candles

Even as a longtime spa devotee, I’d never heard of a massage candle until recently. It turns out they’re becoming the massage therapist’s hottest secret and now I know why. Unlike traditional body massage oil that can be chilly on bare skin, a massage candle provides perfectly warmed oil heated close to a person’s body temperature. The fact that the warmed wax can be poured directly onto your body or that of a partner’s also provides an ordinary massage with sensual anticipation and potential.

Curious, I took the newest massage candle on the market and a video crew to my favorite massage experts at The Raven Spa, renowned in Los Angeles for their Thai massage, bodywork & healing. Massage therapist Zine heated the candle for about an hour to create a large pool of liquid wax. The specially formulated wax for the Love. Lust. Light. candle is made with organic jojoba, shea, and soy butters; and is paraben-free and phthalate free. It is scented with an aphrodisiac vanilla aroma and comes in a ceramic container with a pour spout on both ends, which prevents spilling and makes it more ergonomic than other massage candles. Next, Zine slowly poured the candle wax into her own hand and then massaged it into her client’s back. Zine always warms up the body at the start of her massages and found the candle an effective and simple way to help her do that. The oils absorbed immediately and did not leave any greasy feeling on the skin. She also tried pouring the wax directly onto her client’s skin and I took the client’s soft moan as a sign of deep approval. The client later told me, “The warmed oil is incredibly soothing and pleasurable as it drips down your back. The whole massage experience was surprising and wonderful.”

Relaxation often occurs when more than one sense is engaged, and a massage candle appears to add a welcome multisensory dimension to the massage experience. The soft, low candlelight is warm and soothing to the eyes. The custom scent immediately calms stressed nerves and can even create a romantic ambiance. And, last but not least, the physical sensation of warm wax decadently dripping onto bare skin heightens our physical awareness and reminds us that our bodies have great potential for relaxation and pleasure.
