History of Photography
What we call the photograph appeared in its most primitive form in the 1820s. Then the first permanent photographs were taken. Of course, there have been many scientific advances that led to the invention of photography. Two silver compounds, which are both sensitive to light have been discovered by scientists, long before the first photograph was produced. Albertus Magnus discovered silver nitrate in the 13th century, and Georges Fabricius discovered silver chloride in the 16th century. In 1840, Fox Talbot greatly enhanced photography.
