When Pantone announced that the color for 2012 would be Tangerine Tango, I have to admit, I was pretty nervous. Orange is notoriously difficult to match and a lot of people just aren’t fans. Which is a real shame because it’s such a luscious color and looks equally good in a white or brown based tone.

If we’re going to have a whole year devoted to Tangerine Tango, we may as well enjoy playing with it. I decided to double dip with both Sonata and Zinke for modesty, visual interest and to pick up the pattern of the Milly skirt. I toyed with the idea of a jacket or cover up, but I just couldn’t bring myself to cover up the back of the bodysuit and that beautiful silk satin bow.

The Tom Ford low heels have a delicate cut-out pattern and peep toe. They match up beautifully with Lelo’s silk blindfold, that I have decided would make an admirable hairband. The jewelry is black and gold and minimal, letting the sunburst of color from your lingerie sing out loud and clear.

1. Zinke Scout Reversible Bralet-Orange/Orchid: The bralet is optional, of course. If you aren’t concerned by the open weave of the lace bodysuit, then by all means don’t bother.

2. Kate Spade New York 12k Goldplated Scatter Necklace/Black: The circular gems of this Kate Spade necklace mimic the sweet little silk buttons of the lace bodysuit.

3. TOM FORD Low Heel Shoes: I love the mobility of the low heel as well as the sexy cutouts of the leather. The peeptoe is just that much sweeter and almost begs for a reverse french pedicure with tangerine tips.

We're all excited this week because the perennially popular Sonata Lingerie's newest collection is in! Belle Epoque combines lush jewel tones with ethereal pastels, and features all of the classic Sonata silhouettes and detailing that everyone loves.

The Rosa series is made out of delicate lace the color of mulled wine, and has lots of pieces to mix and match. The Rosa Lace Short Robe is the classic Sonata sheer robe with a giant ribbon tie. The sheer lace combined with the giant sleeves gives it a dramatic flair. You can go ahead and match it with the Rosa Soft Cup Bra or the Rosa Balconette Bra if you don't want to wear something fully sheer. The Rosa Silk & Lace G-String and the Rosa Silk & Lace Knicker both pair beautifully with either bra, depending on how much coverage you want. The cage-like detailing on the Silk & Lace Knicker is one of my favorite looks that Sonata Lingerie makes.

The Ravena series features a Silk Chiffon Babydoll instead of a robe, and is a lush take on basic black. Each piece is studded with red crystals that catch the light. This is especially prominent on the Balconette bra. The Silk Chiffon Babydoll would be a great layering piece as part of an underwear as outerwear look.

If I had to pick one standout piece from this collection, it would be the Danae Lace Bodysuit. Tangerine is the Pantone color of the year and this bodysuit is perfect as outerwear. I own one of Sonata's bodysuits and wear it all the time for all sorts of occasions.

The Opaline series is made out of cornflower blue sheer lace, and has all of the same pieces as the Rosa series. I particularly love the way the lace and the colors make even the Opaline Thong look supremely elegant. This range makes a gorgeous option for the Bride's "something blue" piece under the gown or for her wedding night.

The Adelle Silk Chiffon Babydoll and Silk Knicker make a classic and elegant set. I love the bow in the back of the knicker and the bows on the shoulder of the baby doll. They're so feminine and flirty.

Happy Friday Everyone! With summer just a few short weeks away, I am constantly day dreaming of sandy white beaches and sounds of the ocean. Luckily, being located in Florida definitely has its perks and I’m just a short trip from the coast. The past few days I’ve been eyeing so many beautiful blue lingerie pieces and Bella Bella Boutique just so happens to have an amazing collection - I had to share. The freaky weather continues and now we’re facing bizarro heatwaves in the middle of April. Rather than engage in discussions on climate theory or whether Whoopie Goldberg lip synched the better version of the song Heatwave, I’d much rather plan out an on-trend neon outfit to help us get through the swelter.

A heatwave seems like the perfect time to haul out the lingerie and parade it around in the blisteringly hot sunshine. Priscilla Jade has created some beautiful silk bras in red and teal and I’ve been looking for an excuse to show off her craftsmanship. A hot day calls for minimal coverage, so some highbeam teal shorts from alice + olivia and a barely there pair of Tory Burch sandals will keep your lower half comfortable.

I’m really loving the Beautiful Bottoms set, with its delicate straps, slithers of sequins and light as air silk fabric. The vibrant color of the bra will shine through the transparent silk and pick up the soft blues in your jewelry and the fun scarlet of your polka dot bag.

If the temperature climbs too high, you can nestle into a sweet cafe patio, pop on your Prada shades, apply some of the Kama Sutra Cool Mint Cream to your pulse points and sip some iced mocha lattes. After all, it’s not every year, you can get heatstroke in April. We may as well enjoy it!

5. Kama Sutra Body Souffle Creams: Cool Mint Cream sounds good enough to eat and if it’s gracing your pulse points, it may just encourage a few extra kisses.

6. alice + olivia Aqua Cady Shorts: Not too long, not too short, these shorts are just right! The color picks up the teal in the bra and the jewels without blinding your admirers.

7. Prada 'Baroque' Round Sunglasses: I couldn’t resist these glasses. It wasn’t even their crazy round frames that pulled me in. It’s the fabulous swirl details on the armature. These are gorgeous whether shielding your eyes from both UVA and UVB rays or keeping your hair out of your coffee.

8. Michael Kors Drop Slice Turquoise Earrings: When your lingerie is on display, you really don’t need to go overboard on the jewels.

Everyone is starting to stock up on their spring and summer lingerie, but what really excites me about the warmer months is how easy it is to practically live in loungewear. The right loungewear pieces can be elegant, practical, and even work with a pair of jeans and sandals when you need to run to the store to pick up some milk. Lots of people buy tons of colorful lingerie sets around this time of year but keep wearing their dark colored loungewear! Today I've put together some of my favorite loungewear pieces from Bella Bella Boutique so you can freshen up your loungewear collection while you restock your lingerie.

Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie makes pieces which are both funky and sweet, and seem built for long summer days at home. Whether you're sleeping in late or making your morning coffee, this Knee Length Cami Dress is the perfect loungewear choice. This SAM Marika Vera Silk Chiffon Long Gown is sort of the equivalent of formal loungewear, but I think it's one of the best pieces I've seen in the past year anywhere. You don't see many designers creating elegant silk pieces with leather detailing, but in this case it really works. If you want a robe to make an entrance in then this is for you. The Pearl color is very bridal, but the Salmon version would work beautifully for the spring and the summer.

Stretch silk is my new lingerie fabric of choice. It's incredibly comfortable, feels soft and cool against your skin, and it's also easy to clean. If you're looking for a more elegant version of shorts and a tank top, the MC Lounge Stretch Silk Yoga Shorts and Silk Racer Back Camisole is a nice step up. The camisole would also work well with jeans or a skirt. The stretch silk ties and racer back details on this set really make it something special.

Last, but certainly not least, I believe that every woman needs one really comfortable oversized t-shirt. If you're ready to upgrade from the one you're borrowing from the man in your life, this Naked Princess Lovely Ever After Soft Tee is what you should get. Their micro modal is nothing short of baby soft, and their pieces look good on any body type. While classic white is always nice, their charcoal shade from this season has a subtle depth that I find particularly appealing. I was at an Easter parade the other day and couldn’t help but notice how many people were jumping
on the Spring pastel trend. I also noticed how many people resembledgiant easter eggs. So, I thought it might be a good time to explore the wild and wonderful world of pastels for adults.

The blue playsuit from Beautiful Bottoms was the perfect starting point for this little adventure. But I was a little concerned that the top might be a wee bit bare for a family event like a parade. Luckily I came up with the brilliant plan of doubling up on the silk playsuits and adding in Bristols 6 nipple covers for a little extra insurance in the modesty department. They’re made from such light material that there will be virtually no bulk to contend with under that stunning Prada skirt.

Now to avoid resembling my cotton-candy-colored neighbors at the parade, it was important to not
over do it with the pastels.The gentle shell pink of the Anne Klein Jacket and the periwinkle of the romper is moderated by the deeper tones of the skirt and shoes. The medium blue of the Rebecca
